How does your Garden Grow?

It is our first year at trying a garden, and luckily we are getting some good results (So far!) We will have to see how the next few months turn out for tomatoes, peppers, corn, zuchinni, beans, carrots, onions, cucumbers and some peas we planted.

Are We Crazy?

So Aly had the brilliant idea of putting more concrete in the backyard, the problem with that is I have to do all the work. Where our shed was we just had gravel so we are going to pour a slab underneath that and then make a bigger patio in the back.

This is where our shed used to be, I had to tear out part of the fence and move some sprinkler wire

Now that the shed is torn apart, our usually nice clutter free garage has everything from the shed and the shed parts in there, so I get to park outside.

Here is part of the area that will be concrete that was grass before. If you ever need to tear out grass, make sure that you rent a sod cutter, it saved me a lot of time.

Slip N Slide

Before all this crazy weather we have been having the past few weeks, we were able to get out the Slip N Slide and let the kids have a good time. While I mowed the lawn and Aly weeded the kids played and played. These girls love the water.

Preschool Graduation

On May 29 our Little Miss Isabelle graduated from preschool after two years of hard work. In five years it is amazing to see how much Isabelle has grown and its crazy to think she will be in kindergarten in the fall. Isabelle we are so proud of you and are grateful that you love school (Just remember that in 10 years ok?) and have done so well. Just think how far you have come and what you know now that you didn't two years ago. You have started to read and write, learned to think through problems, learned how to help other people, and learned that things don't always go your way and thats ok. In all you have turned into a very beautiful little girl, congratulations Isabelle.

Why so serious?

Look at the kid in the brown, he sang louder than the whole class combined!

Singing her heart out

Getting her diploma, I think she was more excited for the gumballs!

Dance Recital and Taylor Swift all in one night!!

On May 26th (I know, were a little late posting!) Isabelle had a Dance Recital at Rose Wagner Theater downtown. The recital started at 5:00 and then we had to go from there over to the Energy Solutions Arena to see Taylor Swift, so it was busy couple of hours. Isabelle was pretty nervous because in her Dance she had to do a solo and then go and tap another girl to do her solo. Despite being nervous she did very well and even skipped over to tap the girl with her wand like her Mom told her to. Isabelle loves dance and is getting better and better at it. Here are some pictures of our Princess performing:

We got out of the recital around 6:00 and headed straight over to the concert with Deanne, Hannah and Grandma Ferran. This is all that Isabelle had talked about over the past few weeks and she was so excited that it was finally here. Only being five you would think she was too young, but she loves music like her Daddy, and knows the words to pretty much every Taylor Swift song, so we decided to get tickets. It was a great concert and Isabelle and Hannah had a great time, even though at the end they were pretty tired and ready to go home.

The girls would have been happy to have just had this picture taken, they thought it was the coolest thing to have their picture taken with Taylor Swift

We got to meet a new country band called Gloriana (http://www.myspace.com/gloriana
before seeing Taylor and they signed the girls CD's and were very sweet to them.

After getting their tickets and CD's signed

Getting ready to see Taylor!
