Easter Dresses & a new Haircut

On Saturday Gracie had her hair cut a couple of inches, it was just too straggly and was too hard to manage . What better way to show off her new hair than with her's and Isabelle's Easter dresses.

Enjoyin' the Sunshine

It was a really nice day today and the girls decided to get the sidewalk chalk out and enjoy some sunshine. Hopefully we start getting more of these days.

Fainting can cause damage

Aly decided to faint yesterday morning twice and one of those was into the tub surround and shower. She hasn't been feeling well the last few days and who knows why, but she decided to be really dramatic and faint twice. It was a pretty big thud when she fell in the bathroom and I guess it caused a little damage.

It seems that her fainting left a definite mark on the tub surround:

You might need to look closely on the right side but it is definitely there

Gracie Potty

Gracie is potty trained.....for now. She started on Sunday with her and Aly making a chart with 18 slots on it. With only a few accidents and 18 stickers on the chart, she was able to get her dress this afternoon. This is one happy little girl to finally have her dress!

Her goal, a chart and the dress above the toilet for motivation

So ready to take the dress of the wall and wear it

All dolled up after accomplishing her goal

This is what happens when your two year old locks the keys in the car

After eating at Aly's parent's for dinner, I took Gracie out to get in the car. I usually set the keys next to her while I buckle her in and then have her give me the keys. She gave me the keys, but not before she had locked the car. I went around to the open drivers side door and put the keys in the ignition, shut the door to go get Isabelle, and then realized Gracie was locked in.

This car has onstar but the service is ridiculously priced and so we cancelled it. The unlock button was right by Gracie but she couldn't pull it up. We tried, and tried, and tried but she wouldn't grab it correctly. By five minutes in she started to get frustrated and the tears started flowing. "Open the door!" "Open the door!" "Please!"

Despite our best efforts she wasn't going to open the door and so we called the police. They sent the police and the fireman to get the door open and to check to see if she was ok. They got the door open, Gracie was relieved, and now maybe that onstar service isn't that expensive!
