Advertising Works

The day before Valentines I took the girls to the store to get a few things to make Aly dinner for Valentines. Isabelle really wanted to go to Harmon's because they give you a free cookie, so on the way I told her: "Do you want to go to Harmon's and get a free cookie or do you want to go to another store and save money?" Even though I wasn't asking Gracie, here is her reply:

"Save money, live better, Walmart!" It was more like this: "Save money, l bettr, Walmart."

I guess advertising does work, even on 2 year olds.

Disneyland Day Five

Disneyland Day Five on Sunday Feb. 7. It was a lot nicer day today and so the crowds came out and it took a lot more time to get around and get on rides. Gracie and Mom started out in Disneyland to see more Fairies and Princesses and Isabelle and Dad went to California Adventure. Isabelle was daring once again and went on Tower of Terror and loved it so much she went again with Grandma Barker.

After some time there we headed over to Disneyland to meet up with everyone for lunch at the Blue Bayou and then Ryan's Family had to leave. We spent a few more hours in the park and mostly just walked around because it was so crowded and then headed back to the hotel to get the shuttle to the airport.

It was a great trip and it seems that everyone had fun.

Fast asleep after a 4 1/2 days in Disneyland. This was the worst part of the trip, trying to carry off two sleeping girls and get all the luggage, amazingly enough they stayed asleep.

Disneyland Day Four

Disneyland Day Four was all day in Disneyland with a short jaunt over to California Adventure to before it closed to ride Toy Story Mania. No rain today despite the forecast and so it kept the locals away and the lines short. Another good day at the park but they closed it early because of "inclement weather" even though there was no weather that was inclement. So this trip we didn't get to see the fireworks, but that is the chance you take going in the rainy season. Isabelle was brave today, she rode Space Mountain twice and loved it.

The good thing with the weather forecast calling for rain is that we had our ponchos to wear on Splash. Grandpa, Isabelle and Me.

Not sure what to say on this one

Disneyland Day Three

Breakfast with Minnie and Friends at the Plaza Inn started our wet, rainy day. Gracie was really onry when we got to breakfast and didn't want anything to do with the Characters but she warmed up pretty quick. The only character we had to keep away was Captain Hook, she didn't want anything to do with him. It didn't downpour on us but it drizzled all day, luckily we had some rain gear that Grandma and Grandpa Barker got us so everything stayed fairly dry except our feet.

Aly spent some time during lunch trying to find rain boots and coats for the girls and struck out mostly everywhere. Saturday was supposed to be more of the same weather and so on Friday night her and LeeAnn set out to find stuff. There was really nothing at Target across the street so they got a cab to the Gymboree and found some things after a few hour ordeal. All of it was for not because on Saturday it rained pretty good before we left and then was just overcast the rest of the day! It was good we were prepared for anything on Saturday but we it didn't rain on us at all.

Disneyland Day One

We went to Disneyland from Feb. 3 to 7 (Wednesday to Sunday) with Ben's Family, Ryan's Family, Grandma and Grandpa Barker, and Grandma Ferran. It was the perfect time to go because there were no lines for the rides and the weather mostly cooperated. On Friday it rained all day and Saturday was supposed to be more of the same so Friday night Aly went searching high and low for rain boots and coats. After all that work and Saturday forecasted to be worse than Friday, it didn't rain a drop. The sun shined and all the kids looked funny walking around in their rain boots all day, but it helped the crowds stay away again. The only day busy was Sunday and after having 4 days with no one there, it was a big shock.

Heres day one:
