Disneyland

The weekend of Feb. 26 through March 2, we took the kids to Disneyland for a little vacation. Our neice Hanna was able to tag along to give Isabelle someone to share the excitment with, and since it she had never been, we figured it was a good time to take her. One thing that we kind-of planned on, but thought it would be better, was Gracie and her stroller. Gracie is more outgoing than Isabelle was at her age, and since she has an older sister, she want's to do everything she is doing. So Gracie hardly ever sat in her stroller because she wanted to walk like the other girls and in the process say Hi to everyone walking past. The stroller was good for holding the bags though!

We had great weather, with the nights being a little cool, but the days in the mid 70's, low 80's. We took our time and spent four days at the park to ensure we didn't have to cram everything into just a few days. It brokedown to three days at Disneyland and one day at California adventure. What was surprising is that Isabelle loved the big rides, especially Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad; I thought for sure she wouldn't like the tickle in her tummy. After one time on Splash, she was holding her hands in the air and wanting to go again and again. Hanna on the other hand didn't like the tickle in her tummy so she limited herself to only a few times on Splash, compared to Isabelle's eight or so rides.

We had good food, good weather, great rides, and perfect amount of time in Disneyland. We usually headed back to the hotel around 8:30 because the girls were beat, but getting to bed fairly early allowed the girls to wake up earlier so we were in the park around 8:30 - 9:00 every morning. I was just amazed that Aly was able to get ready that quickly! They all loved the Character Breakfast at the Plaza Inn, meeting the princesses at Arial's Grotto, seeing the Faries at Pixie Hollow, the High School Musical 3 street parade, meeting Micky and Minnie at their houses, and Turtle Talk with Crush.

Gracie did really good, she didn't want to go up to any of the Characters but she was fascinated with all of them and would admire them from afar. She loved Small World, meeting Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eyore and especially Minnie and Micky. Most the time we would have to hold her to get a picture with them but she loved to wave to them from a safe distance! Looking at pictures tonight she was saying their names the best she could so she must have enjoyed at least a little of her time there.

Enough blabbering, here are a few pictures:

Here is one of Gracie's favorite characters

This is the safe distance that Gracie liked when she met the Characters, not to far, not to close! Look at that little smirk!

Another favorite Character of Gracie's

This is literally within 10 minutes of getting back from Disney, they were beat!
