The Oquirrh Mountain Temple was dedicated over the weekend and I thought I would do a post about the Temple since I never posted the pictures of when we went through on July 28th with the Barker Family. It has been a great couple of months serving in the Temple during the open house and Aly and I both had the privilidge of providing service. From Parking to Security and working in the Hospitality tent, I am glad that we were able to give of our time. It is amazing to see the temple finally finished outside our back window and to think that we had a small part in helping people see this magnificent building. My favorite part was seeing people who weren't even members of our Church helping out with the open house because they just wanted to serve, how cool is that? Now we have stories to tell our kids as they grow up and hopefully help them see what a privilege it is to have this Temple right by our house.

The last two weeks
So here is an update to the last few weeks. We had a family reunion with the Reeder family on August 8th up in Ogden and then went straight to Park City to spend the night with Aly's family in Park City. We were able to get a couple of condos up there for a good price so we went to the Alpine Slide, ate dinner and just hung out for the night. It was a good weekend and the girls had fun, thanks Erica for finding the good deal.

Beef Bandits
On Wednesday we were able to get together with some friends from High School at Storm Mountain Park, eat dinner and play some ultimate Frisbee. The Beef Bandits came together after a ten year absence and had a great time catching up, letting kids play, and playing Frisbee (even though we all didn't move like we used to!) Here are some pictures of the kids playing at the park.

Pinedale Wyoming
Who would have thought that we would ever go to Pinedale Wyoming for a family vacation? When you think of vacation spots, Pinedale isn't one that would jump out as a place to go. Mariah's family have a couple of cabins up in Pinedale at Fremont Lake and they offered to let us stay there for free, so the whole family (even Ryan and Kellie) decided to go up there for a few days. We left on Wednesday July 29 and returned on Sunday August 2nd.
We were able to play at the lake, boat, ski, ride the waverunners, ride the 4 wheelers, and just relax. Aly even got a nap one of the days which she never gets to do so that was probably a highlight of her trip. We had a great time with the family and it was fun being able to visit and not have to worry about being somewhere. The kids played well, the food was great, and we had good weather the whole time. It was better than I expected it would be and it was a very beautiful place to visit, maybe we will have to do it again!
