So today is Aly and my 10 year anniversary and to celebrate we packed up and headed to Maui.....without the kids! We got here last night (Sept. 22) and decided since we haven't adjusted to the time difference that this morning we would go see the sunrise at Haleakala. We had to be up by 3:00 this morning so that we could get there by 5:00. The sunrise wasn't until 6:08, but if you ever find yourself wanting to go see this, get there early. It is amazing to get up there when it is pitch black and then slowly see the sky transform before your eyes. You could see every star and then as it got lighter and lighter the sky continued to change. We weren't sure if we wanted to do this but I am glad that we did. It was definitely a good start to the trip. Other than that we have been lazy by the pool, missing our girls, but having a great time at the Grand Wailea.
